Land surveying is the art and science of establishing or reestablishing corners, lines, boundaries, and monuments of real property (land) based upon recorded documents, historical evidence, and present standards of practice.
Professional services such as surveyors offer unique solutions for the community. Factors such as length of education, knowledge, specialty, cost of required equipment result in these fees. Registered Land Surveyors in the state of Nebraska are the only lawful persons to practice land surveying.
Land surveying is a professional service and comparable to attorneys. We as professionals have to gather the appropriate amount of time under an already licensed surveyor (approximately 8 year), pass a national exam and more specifically a state exam prior to being licensed and also required to complete professional development hours to stay up to date.
